Energy monitoring and energy efficiency

Unnecessary consumption is thus identified and can be avoided in the future. The usage behaviour of individual consumers can also be analysed and optimised. With ZENNER IoT applications, various scenarios can be recorded and implemented.

Whether it’s a residential building, office building, school or industrial building – buildings consume energy for heating and air conditioning, hot water preparation and lighting.

The systematic recording of energy consumption in buildings helps to identify hidden energy consumption and to avoid it in the long term.

These include, for example, continuous consumers, non-activated night-time reductions or inefficient ventilation. In addition, detailed evaluations are necessary for compliance with legal regulations or for energy audits (e.g. according to ISO 50001).

With modern IoT sensors from ZENNER, you can record all relevant building and energy data seamlessly. Smart consumption meters measure the consumption of gas, water, heat and electricity throughout the building.

Remote sensors are read via the LoRaWAN® network and the data sent securely to ZENNER’s element IoT platform. In this way, entire usage and consumption behaviour in the whole building can be precisely analysed.

Municipal utilities can, for example, offer their customers energy monitoring or make individual offers adapted to their living conditions – thus enabling them to actively save energy. Many municipal utilities have recognized this opportunity and are positioning themselves as energy consultants for municipalities, the housing or commercial industries.
