Remote inspection of smoke detectors
The smoke alarm obligation now applies in all 16 federal states. Although it has been introduced throughout Germany, each federal state has its own regulation according to the respective state building code. Here the deadlines for the equipment, the specification of which rooms must be equipped, and the responsibility for the annual inspection are precisely defined.
An annual functional test of smoke detectors is mandatory
Owners and landlords are responsible for installation, annual inspection, and maintenance!
For optimal protection, installation is usually carried out in bedrooms, children’s rooms and corridors that are used as escape routes. A functional test must be carried out at least once a year.
