ZENNER at the Enlit 2025: Adapt yourself!
Published: 04. Nov 2025Enlit Europe, one of the leading trade fairs for municipal utilities, digitalisation and sustainable infrastructure, will take place in Bilbao from 18 to 20 November. ZENNER International GmbH & Co. KG will be presenting digital solutions for resilient cities and infrastructures at the LoRa Alliance stand – all under the motto of the new B.One solution world ‘Adapt yourself!’
Saarbrücken, November 2025. Extreme weather events, growing urbanisation or resource scarcity: Our cities are facing new, complex challenges today. A high degree of adaptability is key to responding flexibly to these changes. Digital solutions and radio technologies like LoRaWAN® play a crucial role in this. They lay the foundation for making data intelligently usable and for building or strengthening resilient infrastructures.
At the Enlit, ZENNER shows how cities can become resilient and sustainable with the help of smart metering technology and digital solutions.
Smart resilience: The new B.One solution world
Adaptability, connectivity and resilience are combined in the new solution world of the Minol-ZENNER Group. B.One combines all components of digital infrastructures and guarantees interoperability and data security. All smart meters and sensors that transmit data digitally, as well as all solutions which are realised with these devices, will be recognisable to customers in future by the logo. The label guarantees that devices are compatible with each other. At the Enlit, the new solution world will be presented to the public for the first time.
Smart measuring technology for adaptable cities

ZENNER has been manufacturing water meters for more than 100 years and now offers a comprehensive portfolio of smart metering technology for water, heat and gas consumption. The company is constantly developing new innovations such as the IUWS B.One ultrasonic domestic water meter. The meter is equipped with the ‘parallel radio’ function and transmits measurement data simultaneously via LoRaWAN® and Wireless M-Bus.
With the new B.One Gateway outdoor 16, ZENNER is expanding its IoT portfolio. The gateway is optimised for LoRaWAN® applications, compatible with all common LoRaWAN® network servers, and enables reliable, energy-saving data transmission over long distances.
“LoRaWAN® technology provides energy-efficient, reliable connectivity for cities and is the backbone of many smart city initiatives,”
emphasises Jan-Philipp Exner, Senior project engineer Smart City at ZENNER.
The first step towards digital water management
To make it easier for water suppliers worldwide to switch to digital radio-based meter reading, ZENNER has developed a solution package for the cost-effective remote reading of water meters: B.One Metering as a Service (MaaS) by ZENNER. Without additional investment in infrastructure, MaaS can be used to implement further solutions:
“By integrating additional sensors and devices, MaaS can be used to build sustainable and resilient water systems and even integrate flood protection solutions,”
explains René Claussen, Head of Business Unit Measurement Systems, IoT and Digital Solutions at ZENNER.
As a smart water solution provider, ZENNER now offers a portfolio of solutions that enable water suppliers to digitise numerous processes, from digital meter reading and water quality monitoring to flood protection. The company is also promoting resilience in smart cities – for example, with solutions for monitoring air quality, optimising waste disposal and digitally monitoring weather and environmental data.
ZENNER has been an active member of the LoRa Alliance since 2016 and currently operates the world’s largest LoRaWAN® network with ten million sensors. To date, ZENNER has successfully implemented more than 400 smart city projects.
Under the motto ‘Adapt yourself!’, ZENNER will be presenting digital solutions for resilient infrastructures at Enlit. You can find us at the LoRa Alliance stand (stand: 1.C42).
