Environmental monitoring
Initital situation: weather data of the city is not fully recorded
Sustainability and digitisation are also becoming increasingly important topics for both cities and municipalities. In order to proactively address these issues, future-proof and modern solutions are needed to record and analyse relevant environmental parameters. In most cases, however, this data, which is relevant for a sustainable city, is not fully recorded or made publicly available to residents.
Environmental monitoring: weather data in real time shows CO2 content in the air
With the help of intelligent IoT sensors or weather stations, weather conditions can be monitored.
Various environmental data such as air quality (e.g. humidity, CO2 content) and temperature can be recorded using LoRaWAN® and transmitted to a platform where the data can be visualised and publicly accessed.
Building on smart environmental monitoring, cities can provide their citizens with helpful services that increase the quality of life.

Smart and tailor-made environmental monitoring
- Works and services within the city can be planned according to weather data
- Positive contribution to health
- Transparency about air quality
- Increase in process efficiency
With full live monitoring of weather data, targeted measures can be derived. All LoRaWAN® sensors from ZENNER can be integrated modularly and thus offer ideal conditions for tailor-made and intelligent environmental monitoring.
