Three awards for Zenner at the LoRa Alliance Contribution Awards

Saarbrücken, June 2026. The LoRa Alliance has announced the winners of their Contribution Awards for this year. No fewer than three representatives from Zenner were honoured for their long-standing commitment to the further development and global adoption of the LoRaWAN standard.
Lifetime Achievement Award for Boris Stöckermann
The Lifetime Achievement Award honours individuals who have made significant contributions to the LoRa Alliance or taken on a leading role within it. This year, Boris Stöckermann, Head of Business Development, Strategy, Marketing & e-commerce at Minol-Zenner, received this award. Since 2016, he has been actively involved in various LoRa Alliance committees, including as Chair of the Smart Cities and Buildings Work Group, on the Marketing Committee and as a LoRaWAN Ambassador.
“I am delighted to receive this special award. For me, it is not only recognition of my personal commitment, but above all a sign of what we can achieve together. The close collaboration within the LoRa Alliance and the open dialogue with members, partners and customers have been a key driver of innovation and the further development of LoRaWAN for many years,”
said Boris Stöckermann.
Two Distinguished Service Awards for Zenner
Zenner also received two Distinguished Service Awards. The Distinguished Service Award recognises individuals who have provided exceptional support for, or made a significant contribution to, specific LoRa Alliance initiatives over the past year. Dr Jan-Philipp Exner was honoured for his contributions to the Smart Cities and Buildings Work Group and for his commitment to sharing knowledge about LoRaWAN internationally. Ron Gallon, Vice President of Manufacturing/Production at Zenner USA, received the award for his wide-ranging involvement in various technical and strategic committees of the LoRa Alliance, as well as for his support in expanding the network.
“This award reflects the strength of our community and our shared commitment to the further development of LoRaWAN and its ecosystem. I look forward to continuing my work in the Smart City and Smart Building working groups and helping to drive new LoRaWAN applications forward and achieve tangible results in practice,”
said Dr Jan-Philipp Exner, Smart City expert at Zenner International.
The awards highlight Zenner’s active role within the international LoRaWAN community. As a long-standing member of the LoRa Alliance, the company is actively committed to the further development of the open LoRaWAN wireless standard and contributes its expertise to various working groups.
