Your Strategy. Our Solutions: Zenner at Enlit Europe 2026

From 10 to 12 November, Enlit Europe, one of the leading trade fairs for European utilities and energy suppliers, will take place in Vienna. Zenner International GmbH & Co. KG will showcase digital applications and smart metering technology together with Danish company Brunata A/S at their joint stand. Under the motto “Your Strategy. Our Solutions.”, the focus will be on flexible, tailored solutions for Europe’s cities and utilities.

Saarbrücken, November 2026.Growing urbanisation, resource scarcity and increasing demands for a reliable energy and water supply are presenting cities and municipalities with new challenges. Flexible systems are needed that can be adapted to individual requirements and local conditions. Digital solutions and wireless technologies such as LoRaWAN provide the foundation for collecting data efficiently, transmitting it securely and making it available for a wide range of applications.

At Enlit Europe, Zenner will demonstrate how tailored solutions can help utilities and cities implement their individual digitalisation strategies. Its portfolio covers the entire process chain, from metering technology and data transmission to digital applications.

Adapt yourself: The B.One solution world of the Minol-Zenner Group

With B.One, the Minol-Zenner Group brings together innovative technologies and digital solutions in a shared solution ecosystem under the guiding principle “Adapt yourself”. Its modular approach enables different smart meters and devices from across the Group to be connected and adapted to specific requirements. The B.One label on the devices also indicates which components support remote reading, eliminating the need for customers to compare technical specifications themselves.

“LoRaWAN and our B.One solution portfolio offer the perfect basis on which to gradually build a holistic, digital ecosystem,” explains Zeljko Petrina, Managing Director of Zenner International GmbH & Co. KG.

Smart metering technology for every application

Zenner has been manufacturing water meters for more than 100 years and now offers a broad portfolio of smart metering technology for water, heat and gas consumption. The company continues to develop innovative products, including the IUWS B.One ultrasonic domestic water meter. Equipped with a parallel radio transmission function, the meter transmits measurement data simultaneously via LoRaWAN and Wireless M-Bus.

Alongside modern ultrasonic solutions, Zenner also offers conventional water meter models, such as the MTKD-M multi-jet meter. An EDC B.One communication module can be retrofitted to enable consumption data to be transmitted via LoRaWAN or Wireless M-Bus. Alternatively, a combined M-Bus and pulse module is available.

By offering both mechanical and ultrasonic water meters, Zenner provides two different technological approaches to future-proof consumption metering. This allows water suppliers to select the solution that best meets their individual needs.

“What matters is that the solution fits the specific application and the customer’s long-term strategy,” says Jan-Philipp Exner, Head of Strategic Project Development Smart City Strategy at Zenner.

To meet current drinking water quality requirements, all Zenner domestic water meters have already been converted to lead-free materials.

LoRaWAN gateways for scalable networks

Zenner offers a range of LoRaWAN gateways for building high-performance, scalable networks both indoors and outdoors. The portfolio includes the new B.One Gateway indoor 8, which is particularly suitable for providing wireless coverage inside buildings, as well as the B.One Gateway outdoor 16, which has been specifically developed for use in rural and urban areas.

“Depending on their needs, utilities and municipalities can operate their own LoRaWAN networks or opt for a managed service. LoRaWAN technology provides reliable, low-power connectivity for cities and forms the backbone of many smart city initiatives,” emphasises Jan-Philipp Exner.

B.One Utility Solutions: Digital solutions for smart cities

To turn collected data into practical applications, a suitable platform is needed alongside the wireless infrastructure. The B.One Element Suite by Zenner combines LoRaWAN data transmission with further data processing and visualisation. Dashboards present information in a clear visual format, making it accessible for a wide range of applications in urban environments and water management. To complement the Group’s software portfolio, the new end-to-end metering solution B.One complete will be presented for the first time at Enlit Europe. It helps water suppliers automate the collection of consumption data, detect leaks at an early stage and improve operational efficiency.

The Minol-Zenner Group currently operates one of the world’s largest LoRaWAN networks, with more than twelve million sensors and network coverage in 15 countries. To date, Zenner has also successfully implemented more than 450 smart city projects.

Under the motto “Your Strategy. Our Solutions.”, Zenner will showcase tailored solutions for cities and utilities at Enlit Europe, together with Brunata. Visit us at our joint stand B.h110.
